Floppy Goals FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Is “floppy” just code for “gave up”?

Absolutely not. It’s code for “strategically lowering expectations to avoid disappointment.” Think of it as life’s cheat code.

Can I follow your training plan?

My “plan” is a loose collection of good intentions and last-minute decisions. Today’s workout? Either a 5K or a 5-minute stare-down with my running shoes. Results may vary.

Will this blog actually help me?

Help is a strong word. But if you’ve ever needed proof that someone out there is even less disciplined than you—congrats, you found it.

Why do you run if you’ve never hit a 10K under 40 minutes?

Because, why not? Some of us are just built for slow, steady progress. It’s not about breaking records; it’s about breaking through the fog of “maybe tomorrow.” Plus, if I can get through 20 years of injuries, I can probably get through 10 kilometers. 😅

Why all these failed startups?

Hey, don’t judge me – I’ve tried. Over 10 startups, each with big dreams and little outcomes. They may not have worked, but I learned something each time. It’s about failing forward, right? At least I didn’t try to launch a pet psychic business. 🙃

So, what’s the plan now?

Honestly, it’s a bit all over the place. I have plans, but they tend to slip away after a few days. This blog is my way of keeping myself grounded and tracking my progress (or lack of it).

It’s about moving forward, one step at a time – even if it’s slow. Some days will be better than others, and that’s okay. No pressure for perfection, just consistency. We all have to start somewhere.

What happens if I fall off track?

If I fall off track, I get back on. Simple as that. No guilt, no pressure. It’s a cycle. I’ll keep documenting the process and the moments when things don’t go as planned. If that’s something you can relate to, then this place might be worth visiting. 🌱

Why bother with this journey?

Because progress, no matter how small, is still progress. There will be tough days, but there will also be moments of growth, even in the tiniest steps. If you’re here, you’re already on the right track. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other. 🚶‍♂️
